Staffora XL 2.02m Corten Steel Water Wall & Base

A two-metre architectural Corten water wall with a matching above-ground base — statement scale, flowing water and no need to excavate your patio or garden.

Exclusive to Aqua Moda, the Staffora XL 2.02m Corten Steel Water Wall & Base combines the same impressive 1.8m Corten panel as our in-ground Staffora with a heavy-duty above-ground reservoir and matching Corten steel surround.

The genuine weathering-steel surface develops warm rust, orange and deep brown tones outdoors, while water travelling across the broad faces deepens the colour and adds constant movement.

The 21cm-high base raises the complete feature to approximately 202cm overall. Because the reservoir remains above ground, you get the scale of the XL Staffora without the need to excavate a buried pebble pool.

THE 1.8M STAFFORA — WITHOUT THE DIGGING

Statement scale with a completely above-ground reservoir.

This version uses the same 1.8m Corten panel as the in-ground Staffora, but instead of burying the heavy-duty reservoir it remains above ground inside a matching Corten surround. The result is approximately 202cm of architectural height without cutting into the surrounding landscape.

No buried reservoir A practical option for established patios, terraces and finished hard landscaping.

Heavy-duty internal pool The structural water reservoir remains a strong plastic pebble pool beneath the decorative exterior.

IMPORTANT — CORTEN & PALE PAVING

During its natural weathering process, Corten can release rust-coloured water or residue. Consider this before positioning the feature directly on pale, porous or easily stained paving and finished surfaces.

THE STAFFORA WATER EFFECT

Water cascades across two broad Corten faces.

The supplied 3500LPH pump carries water internally to the top of the panel before it travels down the front and rear surfaces and returns to the concealed reservoir inside the base.

Front + rear water flow Movement can be appreciated from both principal sides of the Staffora.

ABOVE-GROUND INSTALLATION

No excavation, but careful positioning matters.

At approximately 202cm overall, the Staffora should stand on a firm, completely level and suitably load-bearing surface, following the supplied installation instructions.

01 Choose the position Select a firm, completely level and suitably load-bearing surface.

02 Position the reservoir Install the heavy-duty plastic pebble pool securely inside the Corten steel surround.

03 Install the pump Position the supplied 3500LPH pump and connect the water pipe to the Staffora panel.

04 Fit panel & lid Fit the strong reservoir lid before installing and securing the 1.8m Corten panel.

05 Add the lighting Position the multicolour LED at the base so it shines upwards across the flowing water.

06 Finish with pebbles Decorative pebbles can be placed over the reservoir lid for a softer finished appearance.

The XL Staffora needs a firm level base and benefits from a reasonably sheltered position. Because Corten naturally releases rust-coloured residue while its patina develops, the surrounding paving also needs careful consideration.

Use a strong level surface The complete above-ground feature should stand securely on a stable and suitably load-bearing surface.

Consider wind exposure Walls, fences, buildings and substantial planting can help reduce direct wind across the tall water surface.

Consider Corten run-off Avoid susceptible pale porous paving where rust-coloured residue could create unwanted marking.

WATER BY DAY / ILLUMINATED AFTER DARK

The full two-metre Corten form changes throughout the day.

During daylight, flowing water deepens the rust and brown tones of the weathering steel. After dark, the supplied multicolour LED uplight shines upwards across the moving water, emphasising the height and texture of the Staffora.

Multicolour LED uplighting included Position independently at the foot of the panel for an upward wash of light across the Corten and flowing water.

ENGINEERED & HAND-FINISHED

Natural characteristics of a large fabricated Corten feature.

The XL Staffora is an engineered metal water feature assembled and finished by hand. Minor weld marks, slight creases or small surface variations can occasionally occur as part of the fabrication process. These characteristics generally become less noticeable once water is flowing and the Corten continues to weather, and they do not affect the operation or expected lifespan of the feature.

COMPLETE THE LOOK

Add decorative pebbles around the panel.

Decorative pebbles can be placed over the heavy-duty reservoir lid inside the Corten base, helping conceal the functional components and creating a softer transition between the tall water wall and its surround.
