Monara Trio Slate Sphere Water Features

Three cascading natural slate spheres in graduated 50cm, 60cm and 70cm sizes, creating a layered composition of stone, water and light.

Exclusive to Aqua Moda, the Monara Trio combines all three core cascading sphere sizes in one coordinated landscaped installation.

Water emerges independently from the top of each sphere before cascading across the layered slate surfaces. The changing scale creates natural depth, while the shared material and repeated spherical form keep the complete arrangement visually connected.

Each Monara has its own underground reservoir and mains-powered pump. Once installed and concealed with decorative pebbles, the separate water systems effectively disappear, leaving the three natural slate spheres to read as one cohesive feature.

Combining 50cm, 60cm and 70cm spheres creates a stronger sense of progression than repeating identical forms, while the shared slate construction keeps the installation visually coherent.

Only the stone remains visible

The three separate reservoirs sit underground, so they do not visually interrupt the finished composition.

03   NATURAL SLATE

Three textured cascades

Water moves independently across each layered stone surface, creating a wider display of texture, movement and wet-stone colour.

THE MONARA TRIO EFFECT

Three independent water features that appear as one installation.

Beneath the surface, each Monara has its own reservoir and pump. Above ground, those individual systems disappear beneath the decorative finish, allowing the graduated spheres to form one clean natural-stone composition.

50cm sphere The compact sphere introduces the smallest scale and finer detail within the arrangement.
60cm sphere The middle size creates a natural transition between the smallest and largest spheres.
70cm sphere The largest Monara provides the visual anchor and sits above its larger 90cm underground reservoir.

NATURAL SLATE

Repeated material, individual character.

All three Monara spheres are formed using natural layered slate. Water darkens the stone and accentuates the individual edges, while natural variations in colour, markings and texture ensure that each sphere remains subtly individual.

NATURAL MATERIAL

Variations between the three spheres are expected. Natural slate may differ slightly in colour, texture, markings and edge detail, which forms part of the character of the finished installation.

IN-GROUND INSTALLATION

Hide all three reservoirs beneath the landscape.

Once installed, the separate reservoirs and working components disappear below the decorative surface, allowing the three spheres to become the sole visual focus.
01 Plan the composition Position the 50cm, 60cm and 70cm spheres temporarily and assess the arrangement from the main viewing areas before excavation.
02 Prepare three reservoirs Allow for two 66 × 40cm reservoirs beneath the 50cm and 60cm spheres and one larger 90cm reservoir beneath the 70cm sphere.
03 Install the pumps Position the appropriate mains-powered pump inside each reservoir and connect the water hose and LED lighting.
04 Position the spheres Carefully install each Monara above its corresponding reservoir and ensure all three are stable and level.
05 Conceal the installation Cover the reservoir areas with your chosen decorative pebbles so the individual pools disappear into one continuous landscaped finish.
06 Fill & balance Fill each reservoir and adjust the three individual water flows to create a balanced cascading display across the complete trio.

Heavy or Bulky Water Features

Delivered kerbside by a specialist pallet courier, with tracking provided after dispatch. Larger items may arrive in a protective wooden crate, which will require a suitable pry bar or similar tool to open.
