Staffora 1.2m Corten Steel Water Wall

A compact architectural water wall in genuine weathering steel, combining flowing water with the warm rust, orange and deep brown tones of naturally developing Corten.

Exclusive to Aqua Moda, the Staffora 1.2m Corten Steel Water Wall brings the distinctive vertical form of the Staffora collection into a more compact size. At 120cm tall, 55cm wide and only 6cm deep, it introduces height and movement without overwhelming smaller gardens, courtyards or patio spaces.

The panel is manufactured from genuine Corten weathering steel, a material designed to develop a protective rust-coloured patina as it is exposed to outdoor conditions. Water travelling across the broad surfaces intensifies the colour and texture, while the finish continues to mature naturally after installation.

The supplied heavy-duty reservoir installs below ground and can be concealed beneath decorative pebbles, leaving the Corten panel as the main visible element. Water flows down both broad faces before returning to the hidden reservoir below.

THE STAFFORA WATER EFFECT

Water brings additional depth to the Corten surface.

Water is carried internally to the top of the Staffora before being distributed across the broad front and rear faces. As it cascades down the panel, the wet Corten takes on a deeper and richer appearance before the water returns to the concealed reservoir below.

Corten is intentionally designed to weather. Its surface changes as it is exposed to the elements, gradually developing the warm protective patina that gives the material its distinctive character.

Natural variation No two panels weather in exactly the same way, creating subtle individual differences in colour and texture.

Warm garden tones Rust, orange and deep brown shades contrast particularly well with green planting and natural materials.

POSITIONING CORTEN NEAR PALE PAVING

During the natural weathering process, Corten can release rust-coloured water or residue. Take this into account when positioning the Staffora close to pale, porous or easily stained paving and finished surfaces.

SEAMLESS IN-GROUND INSTALLATION

Let the Corten panel rise directly from the landscape.

The 65 × 44 × 21cm heavy-duty pebble pool installs below ground. Once covered with decorative pebbles, the reservoir and plumbing disappear and the panel becomes the sole architectural element.

01 Choose the position Select a firm, level location with access to a suitable outdoor electrical supply.

02 Excavate the reservoir Prepare a suitable hole for the heavy-duty plastic pebble pool.

03 Level the reservoir Install the reservoir securely and completely level, positioning its upper edge appropriately above surrounding soil.

04 Install pump & panel Position the supplied recirculating pump and connect the water pipe to the Staffora panel.

05 Add the uplight Position the multicolour LED at the base so it illuminates the flowing water and Corten surface.

06 Finish with pebbles Conceal the reservoir lid while retaining suitable access to the pump for future maintenance.

WATER BY DAY / ILLUMINATED AFTER DARK

Water and lighting bring out the character of Corten.

During daylight, flowing water deepens the colour of the weathering-steel surface. After dark, the supplied multicolour LED uplight shines upwards across the moving water, bringing additional depth and texture to the panel.

Choosing a Staffora is simple: start with the panel height, choose polished stainless steel or naturally weathering Corten, then decide whether you want the reservoir hidden below ground or housed within a matching above-ground base.

VIEW ALL STAFFORA OPTIONS

ENGINEERED & HAND-FINISHED

Natural characteristics of a fabricated Corten feature.

Staffora is an engineered metal water feature assembled and finished by hand. Minor weld marks, slight creases or small surface variations can occasionally occur as part of the fabrication process. These characteristics generally become less noticeable as water flows across the panel and the Corten continues to weather, and they do not affect the operation or expected lifespan of the feature.

COMPLETE THE INSTALLATION

Choose pebbles to conceal the reservoir.

Decorative pebbles are available separately, allowing the reservoir lid to disappear into the surrounding landscape. Darker stone, river pebbles and natural aggregates can work particularly well alongside the warmer Corten finish.
