Staffora 1.42m Corten Steel Water Wall & Base

A compact architectural Corten water wall with a matching above-ground base — approximately 142cm overall, with no need to excavate your patio or garden.

Exclusive to Aqua Moda, the Staffora 1.42m Corten Steel Water Wall & Base combines the same 1.2m Corten panel used on our in-ground Staffora with a completely above-ground reservoir system.

The panel and matching reservoir surround are finished in genuine Corten weathering steel, creating the warm rust, orange and deep brown tones that make the material such a distinctive part of contemporary garden design.

Instead of burying the reservoir, the heavy-duty plastic pebble pool sits within a matching Corten surround. The 21cm-high base lifts the complete feature to approximately 142cm overall while allowing the Staffora to be installed without excavation.

THE 1.2M STAFFORA — WITHOUT THE DIGGING

A completely above-ground Corten water wall.

This model uses exactly the same 1.2m Corten panel as the in-ground Staffora. The difference is the reservoir: instead of being buried, the heavy-duty pebble pool remains above ground and is concealed inside a matching Corten steel surround.

No excavation Install on an appropriate finished surface without digging a reservoir into the landscape.

Heavy-duty internal reservoir A strong plastic pebble pool forms the functional and watertight water reservoir.

Matching Corten surround The decorative weathering-steel exterior visually connects the base with the panel above.

A LIVING WEATHERING-STEEL FINISH

The surface continues to evolve after installation.

Corten is designed to weather naturally. Exposure to outdoor conditions gradually creates the protective rust-coloured patina that gives the material its distinctive warmth and character.

Natural variation Each Staffora develops individual differences in tone, texture and weathering.

Warm garden tones Rust, orange and deep brown shades contrast particularly well with green planting.

Enhanced by water Water travelling across the panel makes the surface appear deeper and richer in colour.

Continues to mature The appearance naturally develops and changes as the feature remains exposed outdoors.

IMPORTANT — CORTEN & PALE PAVING

During its natural weathering process, Corten can release rust-coloured water or residue. Consider this before positioning the feature directly on pale, porous or easily stained paving and finished surfaces.

THE STAFFORA WATER EFFECT

Water travels across both broad Corten faces.

Water is carried internally to the top of the panel before cascading down the broad front and rear surfaces and returning to the concealed reservoir inside the base.

Front + rear water flow Movement can be appreciated from both principal sides of the Staffora.

EASY ABOVE-GROUND INSTALLATION

Position, assemble, fill and connect.

The complete reservoir remains above ground, making installation particularly attractive where digging into paving or landscaped surfaces is undesirable.

01 Choose the position Select a firm, completely level and suitably load-bearing surface.

02 Position the reservoir Install the heavy-duty plastic pebble pool securely inside the matching Corten steel wrap.

03 Install the pump Place the supplied recirculating pump inside the reservoir and connect the water pipe to the panel.

04 Fit panel & lid Position the heavy-duty reservoir lid before installing and securing the 1.2m Corten panel.

05 Add the uplight Position the multicolour LED at the base so it shines upwards across the moving water.

06 Finish with pebbles Decorative pebbles can be added over the visible reservoir lid for a softer finished appearance.

WATER BY DAY / ILLUMINATED AFTER DARK

Water and lighting bring additional depth to the Corten.

During daylight, flowing water deepens the natural colour of the weathering-steel surface. After dark, the supplied multicolour LED uplight shines upwards from the base, illuminating the moving water and giving the feature a different evening character.

Choose 1.2m for patios, courtyards and closer viewing, or 1.8m when you want stronger architectural presence. Choose Corten for a warm, naturally evolving finish or polished steel for a highly reflective contemporary appearance. Select with base when you want to avoid excavation, or in-ground for the cleanest landscape-integrated installation.

ENGINEERED & HAND-FINISHED

Natural characteristics of a fabricated Corten feature.

Staffora is an engineered metal water feature assembled and finished by hand. Minor weld marks, slight creases or small surface variations can occasionally occur as part of the fabrication process. These characteristics generally become less noticeable once water is flowing and the Corten continues to weather, and they do not affect the operation or expected lifespan of the feature.

COMPLETE THE LOOK

Add decorative pebbles around the panel.

Decorative pebbles can be placed over the heavy-duty reservoir lid inside the Corten base, helping conceal the functional components while creating a softer transition between the vertical panel and its surround.
