Aterno 100cm Polished Steel Sphere & Base Water Feature

A spectacular 100cm polished stainless steel sphere designed to create a striking contemporary focal point in larger gardens, patios and landscaped spaces. Water flows continuously over the mirrored surface, reflecting the surrounding garden and creating an ever-changing display of light and movement.

The sphere sits within a substantial 75cm polished stainless steel base which discreetly houses the water reservoir, allowing the entire feature to be installed above ground with no excavation required. Fully self-contained, the Aterno continuously recirculates its water, so no permanent water supply is needed.

The raised lip around the base allows decorative pebbles to be added around the sphere for a more natural, finished appearance, while the integrated white LED light illuminates the flowing water after dark.

Decorative pebbles are available separately, allowing you to create a finished look around the base of the sphere.

Simple Above-Ground Installation

Unlike traditional large water features that require an underground reservoir, the Aterno's reservoir is concealed inside the polished stainless steel base. Simply position the feature on a suitable level surface, connect the pump and fill the reservoir — no excavation of your patio or garden is required.

How It Works

The hidden pump continuously circulates water from the reservoir inside the base to the top of the stainless steel sphere.

  • 1. Position: Place the feature on a firm, level and suitably load-bearing surface.
  • 2. Connect: Connect the pump and water hose to the sphere.
  • 3. Fill: Fill the concealed reservoir inside the base with water.
  • 4. Finish: Add decorative pebbles around the sphere inside the raised lip of the base if desired.
  • 5. Switch On: The pump carries water to the top of the sphere where it flows across the polished surface and returns to the hidden reservoir below.

Made to Create an Impact

At one metre in diameter, the Aterno is designed for spaces where a standard garden water feature can become visually lost. Its large spherical form creates an architectural focal point that can be viewed and enjoyed from every angle.

The highly polished surface reflects planting, architecture and changing skies, while flowing water continually transforms those reflections. Decorative pebbles can be positioned around the sphere within the raised base to soften the transition between the feature and its surroundings.

After dark, the integrated white LED adds another dimension by illuminating the water as it moves across the sphere.

Heavy or Bulky Water Features

Delivered kerbside by a specialist pallet courier, with tracking provided after dispatch. Larger items may arrive in a protective wooden crate, which will require a suitable pry bar or similar tool to open.
