Aterno 100cm Polished Steel Sphere & Base Water Feature

A 1 metre mirrored sphere raised to approximately 1.3 metres overall — designed for substantial private gardens, commercial entrances and larger landscaped spaces.

The Aterno 100cm Polished Steel Sphere & Base Water Feature is the largest standard above-ground sphere configuration in the Aterno range. A full metre in diameter, the sphere has the scale to become a genuine architectural focal point rather than simply another element within the garden.

Made from grade 304 stainless steel, its highly polished surface reflects surrounding planting, architecture and changing skies while water travels continuously over the curved steel. The reservoir is housed within a substantial matching polished base, creating a unified freestanding installation from ground level to the top of the sphere.

At approximately 130cm overall height, this is a serious statement feature suited to large private gardens as well as hotels, schools, offices, corporate entrances and landscaped business premises. The complete water system remains above ground, so no reservoir excavation is required.

The larger 75cm-diameter reservoir is concealed inside the polished stainless-steel base, allowing the complete feature to remain above ground.

Prefer the 1 metre sphere at ground level?

The standard 100cm Aterno uses a heavy-duty reservoir installed below ground. The reservoir can then be disguised with decorative pebbles, creating a lower, more integrated installation with the sphere appearing to rise directly from the surrounding landscape.

How much scale does the setting need?

For a typical patio or medium-sized domestic garden it can be intentionally dramatic; for hotels, schools, commercial entrances and larger properties its additional scale can be what allows the feature to remain visually important within the wider landscape.
