Solar Monara Slate 50cm Cascading Sphere Water Feature

A compact 50cm natural slate sphere combining richly textured cascading water with the freedom of an 800LPH solar and rechargeable battery system.

Exclusive to Aqua Moda, the Solar Monara 50cm Cascading Slate Sphere combines a clean circular form with the irregular texture and natural character of layered slate.

Water emerges from the top before flowing across the projecting stone edges, dividing into constantly changing streams and rivulets. As the slate becomes wet, its natural grey tones deepen and the layered construction becomes much more pronounced.

Powered by an 800LPH solar pump with rechargeable battery backup, the compact Monara can be positioned without requiring a mains electrical connection at the feature.

The 50cm Solar Monara is the most compact cascading sphere in the core range, making it particularly easy to introduce into patios, courtyard gardens, raised borders and tighter landscaped areas.

The dedicated solar panel generates electricity for the 800LPH pump and rechargeable battery system. The panel can be positioned separately in a sunny location while the Monara becomes the visual focal point elsewhere in the garden.

SOLAR OR MAINS?

Choose according to your garden and how you want to use the feature.

Both versions use the compact 50cm cascading slate sphere. The main difference is whether flexible positioning or completely consistent electrical power is more important.

Ideal where no convenient outdoor socket is available, where the sphere will sit further into the garden, or where mains cabling would be undesirable.

Choose the mains version when suitable electrical access is available and dependable operation regardless of sunlight is the priority.

IMPORTANT — SOLAR PERFORMANCE

Solar performance naturally varies according to sunlight, season, weather conditions and battery charge. Position the panel where it can receive as much unobstructed direct sunlight as practical during the day.

NATURAL SLATE

The character comes from the stone itself.

Monara is constructed using natural slate rather than a moulded imitation surface. The irregular layered edges create the water paths, while getting wet intensifies the natural grey and charcoal tones of the stone.

Layered construction Individual stone edges create depth and naturally interrupt the flow of water.
Changes when wet Water darkens the slate and makes the variation between individual layers more pronounced.
Each sphere is individual Natural variations in colour, markings, texture and layered edges are expected.

IN-GROUND INSTALLATION

Hide the reservoir beneath the landscape.

The supplied 66cm heavy-duty pebble pool sits below ground, leaving the slate sphere and decorative stone as the principal visible elements.
01 Plan the position Choose a firm, level position for the sphere and identify a nearby location with good sunlight for the solar panel.
02 Install the reservoir Excavate a suitable area for the supplied 66cm heavy-duty pebble pool and position it securely below ground.
03 Connect the system Position the 800LPH pump inside the reservoir and connect the water hose, solar panel, battery system and LED uplighter.
04 Position the sphere Carefully place the Monara securely above the reservoir and make sure the finished sphere is stable and level.
05 Position the panel Place the solar panel in an open sunny location and finish the visible reservoir area with decorative pebbles.
06 Fill & enjoy Fill the reservoir and operate the solar system to begin recirculating water across the layered slate surface.
OPTIONAL SOLAR PATIO INSTALLATION

No mains cable. No buried reservoir.

Add the optional 66cm Corten steel reservoir wrap to conceal the supplied pebble pool above ground. Combined with solar power, this creates an especially flexible Monara for patios and finished surfaces because neither excavation nor a mains electrical connection at the feature is required.
