Monara Solar Slate 70cm Cascading Sphere Water Feature

A substantial 70cm natural slate sphere combining statement scale, deeply textured cascading water and the positioning freedom of solar power.

Exclusive to Aqua Moda, the Solar Monara 70cm Cascading Slate Sphere is the largest individual sphere in the core Monara collection, combining a strong architectural form with the irregular character of natural layered stone.

Water emerges from the top before flowing across the slate surface, where hundreds of projecting edges continually divide and redirect the flow. The natural grey stone darkens considerably when wet, emphasising the depth and texture of the sphere.

Powered by an 800LPH solar pump with rechargeable battery backup, the feature requires no mains electrical connection at the installation point, making it particularly useful for larger gardens and positions further away from the house.

The 70cm Solar Monara combines the scale of the largest individual cascading sphere with a battery-backed solar system, allowing it to be positioned where running mains power would otherwise be difficult.

The dedicated solar panel generates electricity for the 800LPH pump while charging the rechargeable battery system. This allows the water feature to operate without a mains electrical connection at the sphere itself and makes more remote garden positions practical.

IMPORTANT — SOLAR PERFORMANCE

Solar performance naturally varies according to sunlight, season, weather conditions and battery charge. Position the panel where it can receive good unobstructed direct sunlight during the day for the best charging performance.

NATURAL SLATE

Water transforms the appearance of the stone.

The Monara is built from individual layers of natural slate. When dry, the stone displays softer natural grey tones. As water moves across the surface, the slate darkens considerably and the contrast between individual layers becomes much more pronounced.

IN-GROUND INSTALLATION

Conceal the reservoir and keep the sphere as the focal point.

The supplied 90cm heavy-duty reservoir is buried beneath the landscape while the solar panel is positioned separately in a sunny location.

01 Plan the position Choose a firm, level location for the 125kg sphere and identify a sunny nearby position for the solar panel.

02 Install the reservoir Excavate a suitable hole for the supplied 90cm heavy-duty pebble pool and position it securely below ground.

03 Connect the solar system Position the 800LPH pump inside the reservoir and connect the hose, solar panel, battery system and LED uplight.

04 Position the sphere Carefully place the approximately 125kg Monara onto the support system and ensure it is stable and completely level.

05 Position the solar panel Locate the panel where it can receive good direct sunlight and finish the reservoir area with decorative pebbles.

06 Fill & enjoy Fill the reservoir and operate the solar system to begin recirculating water across the layered slate surface.

OPTIONAL SOLAR PATIO INSTALLATION

No mains cable. No buried reservoir.

Add the optional 90cm Corten steel reservoir wrap to conceal the supplied pebble pool above ground. Combined with solar power, this creates an especially flexible Monara installation for patios and finished surfaces because neither excavation nor a mains electrical connection at the feature is required.
