Monara Slate 50cm Cascading Sphere Water Feature

A compact 50cm natural slate sphere with a richly layered surface that creates constantly changing patterns of cascading water.

Exclusive to Aqua Moda, the Monara 50cm Cascading Slate Sphere combines the symmetry of a sphere with the texture and individual character of natural slate.

Water emerges from the top before flowing across the layered stone surface. The projecting slate edges break the water into changing streams and rivulets, while the natural grey tones become noticeably deeper and richer as the stone becomes wet.

Supplied as a complete mains-powered water feature kit with reservoir, pump and LED light, the Monara is fully self-contained and requires no permanent water supply.

At 50cm in diameter, this is the most compact cascading Monara sphere and works particularly well where you want genuine stone and visible water movement within a smaller footprint.

Layers of natural slate create an irregular surface that catches water and light differently across the sphere.

The supplied system continuously recirculates the same water and requires no permanent connection to a mains water supply.

THE MONARA WATER EFFECT

Water follows the natural texture of the slate.

Water rises through the centre of the sphere and emerges at the top before cascading down the layered surface. Each projecting slate edge alters the flow slightly, creating a more broken and textured effect than water moving across a smooth sphere.

Slate darkens when wet Water enhances the natural grey tones and contrast within the layered stone.

NATURAL SLATE

Individual stone gives every Monara its own character.

Monara is constructed using natural slate rather than a moulded imitation surface. Variations in colour, thickness, texture and individual stone edges are therefore part of its appearance and help give every sphere a distinctive layered character.

NATURAL MATERIAL

Slate is a natural material, so colour, texture and surface detail will vary from one feature to another. These differences are expected and form part of the character of the finished water feature.

IN-GROUND INSTALLATION

Conceal the reservoir below the sphere.

The supplied pebble pool is designed to sit below ground, leaving the Monara sphere and decorative stone as the visible elements of the finished installation.
01 Prepare the position Excavate a suitable area for the supplied 66cm heavy-duty pebble pool.
02 Position the reservoir Install the reservoir securely and ensure the finished support level is stable and level.
03 Fit the pump Position the supplied pump inside the reservoir and connect the water hose through the pre-drilled sphere.
04 Position the sphere Carefully place the approximately 50kg Monara securely above the reservoir and check that it is stable.
05 Add lighting & pebbles Position the supplied LED light and finish the visible reservoir area with your chosen decorative pebbles.
06 Fill & enjoy Fill the reservoir and switch on the pump to begin continuous water circulation over the sphere.
OPTIONAL PATIO INSTALLATION

Prefer not to bury the reservoir?

Add the optional 66cm Corten steel reservoir wrap to conceal the supplied pebble pool above ground. This creates a distinctive mixed-material Monara with the natural grey slate sphere raised above a warm weathering-steel base — ideal for patios, terraces and other finished surfaces where excavation is impractical.

Delivered kerbside by a specialist pallet courier, with tracking provided after dispatch. Larger items may arrive in a protective wooden crate, which will require a suitable pry bar or similar tool to open.
