Rosara Black Limestone 45cm Babbling Bowl Water Feature

A compact hand-carved black limestone bowl combining a polished water surface with the individual texture and character of genuine natural stone.

At approximately 45cm across, this Rosara creates the same calm babbling-bowl effect as the larger statement designs in a footprint that is easier to incorporate into patios, courtyards and planted borders.

Water rises gently through the centre of the bowl before spreading across the smooth upper surface and spilling naturally over the edge. The water then disappears beneath the decorative finish and returns to the concealed reservoir below.

Black limestone changes considerably when wet, with softer charcoal tones becoming deeper and richer as water moves across the stone.

Water emerges quietly through the centre of the bowl before spreading across the smooth limestone surface.

As the bowl fills, water reaches the perimeter and spills gently over the edge, producing a restrained cascade and soft water sound.

The low bubbling effect works particularly well close to seating areas where the movement can be enjoyed without the feature dominating the surrounding space.

Genuine black limestone

Natural stone that becomes dramatically richer when wet.

Black limestone is a natural sedimentary stone with subtle variations in colour, grain and markings.

When dry, the bowl typically displays softer charcoal and dark grey tones. Once water begins flowing, these colours become considerably deeper, often approaching a rich near-black.

The polished water surface contrasts with the more natural character of the outer stone, balancing a cleaner contemporary appearance with the individuality of genuine limestone.

The Rosara is installed over a heavy-duty underground reservoir, leaving the limestone bowl and your chosen decorative finish as the visible elements of the completed fountain.

Prepare

Choose a firm, level position with access to a suitable outdoor electrical supply.

Excavate

Prepare a suitable opening for the supplied underground reservoir.

Position

Install the reservoir securely and level beneath the finished surface.

Install the pump

Position the recirculating pump inside the reservoir and connect the water pipe to the pre-drilled bowl.

Fit the grid

Position the heavy-duty support grid securely over the reservoir.

Position the bowl

Carefully centre the natural limestone bowl over the supported area.

Finish

Cover the visible support area with decorative pebbles while retaining suitable access for future maintenance.

Fill & enjoy

Fill the reservoir and switch on the pump. Water continuously circulates through the bowl and returns below.

No permanent water supply required The Rosara uses a fully recirculating water system. The reservoir only needs occasional topping up to replace water naturally lost through evaporation and splash.
