Monara Slate 60cm Cascading Sphere Water Feature

A substantial 60cm natural slate sphere with a richly layered surface that creates constantly changing patterns of cascading water.

Exclusive to Aqua Moda, the Monara 60cm Cascading Slate Sphere combines the symmetry of a sphere with the texture and individual character of natural slate.

Water emerges from the top before flowing across the layered stone surface. The projecting slate edges break the water into changing streams and rivulets, while the natural grey tones become noticeably deeper and richer as the stone becomes wet.

At approximately 100kg, the 60cm Monara has greater visual weight than the compact 50cm model while remaining easy to integrate into patios, borders and medium-sized landscaped gardens. It is supplied as a complete mains-powered kit with reservoir, pump and LED light.

The 60cm sphere sits between the compact 50cm and larger 70cm Monara, offering greater presence without requiring the space or visual scale of the largest model.

The supplied system continuously recirculates the same water and requires no permanent connection to a mains water supply.

THE MONARA WATER EFFECT

More slate surface creates more visible water movement.

Water rises through the centre of the sphere and emerges at the top before cascading down the layered surface. Across the larger 60cm form, the projecting slate edges divide the water into numerous changing streams and rivulets, creating movement across every side of the feature.

Top-fed water flow Water emerges from the upper centre before travelling naturally across the slate surface.
Layered cascading effect Individual stone edges continually redirect the flow and create changing patterns of moving water.
Slate darkens when wet The moving water enhances the natural greys, charcoal tones and variation within the stone.

NATURAL SLATE

No two Monara spheres are exactly alike.

Monara is constructed using natural slate rather than a moulded imitation surface. Variations in colour, thickness, texture and individual stone edges are therefore expected and help give every sphere its own character.

NATURAL MATERIAL

Slate is a natural material, so colour, texture and surface detail will vary from one feature to another. These variations are part of the appearance rather than manufacturing defects.

IN-GROUND INSTALLATION

Conceal the reservoir beneath the landscape.

The supplied 66cm pebble pool sits below ground, leaving the 60cm Monara sphere and decorative stone as the principal visible elements.
01 Prepare the position Excavate a suitable area for the supplied 66cm heavy-duty pebble pool.
02 Position the reservoir Install the reservoir securely on a stable base and make sure the finished support level is level.
03 Fit the pump Position the supplied pump inside the reservoir and connect the water hose through the pre-drilled sphere.
04 Position the sphere Carefully place the approximately 100kg Monara securely above the reservoir and ensure it is stable and level.
05 Add lighting & pebbles Position the supplied LED uplighter and finish the visible reservoir area with your chosen decorative pebbles.
06 Fill & enjoy Fill the reservoir and switch on the pump to begin continuous water circulation across the sphere.
OPTIONAL PATIO INSTALLATION

Prefer an above-ground Monara?

Add the optional 66cm Corten steel reservoir wrap to conceal the supplied pebble pool above ground. The combination of natural grey slate and warm weathering steel creates a distinctive mixed-material feature while avoiding the need to excavate an existing patio or terrace.
