Miren Basalt Carved Crystal Water Feature

A sculptural natural basalt fountain hand-carved into a distinctive crystal-inspired form.

At approximately 45cm in diameter and 15cm high, the Miren Crystal combines the character of genuine volcanic stone with a series of angular hand-carved facets that catch both moving water and changing light.

Water bubbles gently from the polished upper surface before travelling across the carved faces and cascading naturally down the sides. Each facet creates a slightly different route for the water, producing constantly changing highlights and flow patterns.

As the basalt becomes wet, its black, charcoal and warm brown tones deepen considerably, increasing the contrast between the polished top and sculpted sides.

The sides are individually carved into multiple faces, creating a sculptural form that remains visually interesting even when the water is switched off.

A sculptural take on natural basalt

Water and light move differently across every facet.

The Crystal is one of the more decorative designs within the Miren collection.

Rather than leaving the stone in a completely natural boulder form, the sides are individually carved into angular faces. Water bubbles from the polished top and then separates as it encounters the different planes of the stone.

The result is a varied cascading effect, with individual faces catching light and moving water from different angles.

Genuine natural basalt

Individually carved from real volcanic stone.

Basalt is a dense natural volcanic stone with individual markings, colour variations and surface characteristics.

When dry, the Miren Crystal typically displays softer grey and charcoal tones. Once water begins flowing, the stone becomes darker and richer, revealing warmer brown tones and increasing the contrast between the polished upper surface and carved sides.

Because each stone is carved individually, subtle variations in the angle and shape of the facets should be expected.

Every Miren Crystal is unique

Exact shape, markings, colour and carved detail will vary slightly from one fountain to another. These variations are part of the character of genuine natural stone.

Seamless in-ground installation

Conceal the water system beneath the garden.

The supplied 60cm heavy-duty pebble pool is designed to be buried below ground, leaving only the sculptural basalt Crystal and your chosen decorative finish visible.

Prepare

Choose a firm, level position with access to a suitable outdoor electrical supply.

Excavate

Dig a suitable hole for the supplied 60cm heavy-duty pebble pool.

Position

Install the reservoir securely and level, with the upper edge slightly above surrounding soil level.

Install the pump

Position the pump inside the reservoir and connect the water pipe to the pre-drilled basalt stone.

Fit the grid

Position the supplied heavy-duty support grid securely over the reservoir.

Position the Crystal

Carefully place the basalt centrally over the supported area and connect the water feed.

Add the lighting

Position the supplied LED light to illuminate the flowing water and hand-carved surfaces.

Finish

Cover the visible grid with decorative pebbles while retaining suitable access to the pump for future maintenance.

Fill & enjoy

Fill the reservoir and switch on the pump. Water bubbles onto the polished top and cascades across the carved facets before returning below.
