The Aterno 200cm Polished Steel Sphere Water Feature is one of the defining statement pieces in the Aqua Moda collection. At a full 2 metres in diameter, its scale transforms the sphere from a garden feature into an architectural element within the landscape.

Manufactured from grade 304 stainless steel with a highly polished mirror finish, the sphere reflects buildings, planting, people and changing skies across its vast curved surface. As water travels over the steel, those reflections continually shift, giving the feature movement even when viewed from a considerable distance.

The 2m Aterno is particularly suited to hotel grounds, school and university courtyards, housing developments, corporate premises, visitor destinations and substantial private properties where a conventional garden-scale fountain would simply disappear within the surroundings.

At 2 metres diameter, reservoir choice, groundwork, access and lifting should be considered as part of the project rather than after the feature arrives.

Reservoir The sphere is supplied with a suitable pump. The water reservoir can be specified around the individual installation.

Pond Installation The sphere can also be incorporated into a suitably designed existing or purpose-built water body.

Groundworks Prepare the foundation and water system before delivery wherever possible so the final installation can proceed efficiently.

Access & Handling Consider vehicle access, unloading and lifting equipment appropriate to a sphere weighing approximately 215kg.

Viewing Distance Position the feature where its two-metre form can be appreciated without being visually crowded by surrounding elements.

Lighting Architectural lighting can be incorporated into the wider landscape design to emphasise the polished surface after dark.
