Serio Granito Steel C & Granite Column 1.5m Water Feature

A substantial two-piece architectural water feature combining a 1.5m polished Grade 304 stainless-steel Serio with a 90cm solid natural grey granite column.

The Serio Granito 1.5m combines two contrasting Aqua Moda designs to create a significantly broader garden focal point than either feature would provide individually. The tall polished Serio supplies the clean architectural structure, while the substantial granite column brings natural weight, texture and individuality.

At 150cm high, the C-shaped Serio becomes the dominant vertical element. Alongside it, the 90cm solid granite column creates a strong second level rather than disappearing beside the taller wall. The 60cm difference between the two heights produces a naturally stepped composition that feels deliberate and balanced.

The two materials also respond differently to water. The polished stainless steel reflects planting, sky and surrounding architecture as water moves across its surface, while the grey granite becomes noticeably darker and richer once wet.

Both water features operate through one coordinated, fully recirculating installation. The heavy-duty reservoir and support system are concealed below the finished surface, so the Serio, granite column and decorative landscaping remain the principal visible elements.

The polished C-shaped wall provides the dominant vertical line and main contemporary element within the composition.

02 90CM GRANITE

Substantial natural-stone companion

At approximately 90cm high, the solid granite column remains visually substantial alongside the taller steel feature.

03 TWO CASCADES

Different styles of moving water

The Serio produces a tall cascade across polished steel while the granite column creates its own bubbling flow over natural stone.

The visual interest of Granito comes from the fact that the two features do not simply repeat the same water effect. Each creates its own distinct movement while remaining part of the same installation.

Serio vertical cascade Water is delivered internally to the upper section of the 1.5m Serio before travelling down its polished steel face.

Granite bubbling cascade Water emerges at the top of the 90cm granite column and spreads across the natural stone before returning to the reservoir.

Two independent areas of movement The combination creates more visual interest and landscape presence than either feature would achieve individually.

A substantial stepped composition.

The 150cm Serio forms the dominant vertical element while the 90cm granite column creates a substantial secondary level. The 60cm difference in height produces a natural visual step without making the granite appear undersized.

POLISHED GRADE 304 STEEL / SOLID NATURAL GRANITE

Two premium materials with deliberately different characters.

The defining quality of Serio Granito is not simply its size. It is the contrast between smooth reflective metal and substantial natural stone.

Polished Grade 304 stainless steel The Serio provides clean contemporary lines and a highly reflective finish. Planting, sky and daylight appear across the steel while flowing water continually distorts those reflections.

Genuine solid natural grey granite The 90cm column is made from natural granite rather than a moulded imitation. Variations in grain, colour and natural markings give each piece its own individual character.

POSITIONING YOUR SERIO GRANITO

Use the Serio as the backdrop and the granite to create depth.

The 1.5m Serio should generally establish the main vertical line, with the 90cm granite column positioned slightly forward or offset according to the principal viewing angle. This creates a layered arrangement and helps the two elements read as one composition rather than two separate water features placed side by side.

SEAMLESS IN-GROUND INSTALLATION

Conceal the practical components below the finished landscape.

The heavy-duty reservoir and support system sit beneath the finished surface, allowing the two statement features and decorative landscaping to remain visually dominant.

01 Choose the position Select a firm, level location with access to a suitable outdoor electrical supply.

02 Excavate Prepare the ground for the supplied heavy-duty underground pebble-pool reservoir.

03 Install the reservoir Position it securely and completely level, with the upper edge slightly above surrounding soil level to help reduce soil and surface water entering it.

04 Install the pump system Position the pump within the reservoir and connect the water pipework to both features.

05 Fit the heavy-duty support Position the reservoir support securely at finished ground level.

06 Position the Serio Install the 1.5m polished steel C securely over the supported reservoir area.

07 Position the granite Place the 90cm granite column alongside the Serio and connect its water supply.

08 Fine-tune the layout Adjust the relationship between both features to create the strongest composition from the main viewing angle.

09 Add decorative pebbles Cover the visible reservoir support while retaining suitable access for future pump maintenance.

10 Fill & enjoy Fill the reservoir and switch on the system so both independent water effects begin circulating.

MATERIAL CARE & NATURAL VARIATION

Maintaining the polished steel

Occasional cleaning helps remove water marks and environmental deposits from the Grade 304 stainless steel and maintains its highly reflective appearance.

Natural granite variation

Variations in grain, colour and natural markings are expected in genuine granite. Once wet, the stone becomes noticeably darker and richer, increasing its contrast with the polished steel.

CHOOSE YOUR SERIO COMPOSITION

Reduce the scale, add more stone contrast or change to Corten.
