Rosara Rhyme Rainbow Sandstone Babbling Bowl on Column

A tall natural sandstone fountain combining a hand-finished column with a 45cm babbling bowl to create two distinct water effects in one sculptural centrepiece.

Standing approximately 62cm high, the Rosara Rhyme brings the water well above ground level and gives the fountain significantly more visual presence than a traditional low babbling bowl.

Water bubbles gently across the upper bowl before spilling over the edge and cascading down the hand-finished sandstone column, creating a combination of calm surface movement and shimmering falling water.

Crafted from genuine rainbow sandstone, every Rhyme displays its own combination of cream, gold, pink, terracotta and grey mineral tones, ensuring that no two features are exactly alike.

The Rhyme water effect

Two distinct stages of water movement.

Water first rises into the centre of the 45cm sandstone bowl, creating the gentle bubbling movement associated with the Rosara range.

As the bowl fills, the water reaches the perimeter and flows over the edge, continuing down the hand-finished column below.

This creates a shimmering vertical cascade before the water disappears into the concealed reservoir and is continuously recirculated.

Upper babbling bowl Gentle water movement begins at the top of the feature.

Broad 45cm surface Water spreads across the natural sandstone bowl.

Vertical cascading flow Water travels down the hand-finished column below.

Concealed recirculation Water returns to the underground reservoir and is reused.

A taller Rosara silhouette

Designed as a centrepiece rather than a ground-level bowl.

At approximately 62cm tall, the Rhyme has considerably more vertical presence than the low-profile Rosara babbling bowls.

The broad circular bowl balances the taller stone column below, creating a design that feels substantial without becoming bulky.

The column also increases the visible drop of the water, allowing the cascade to become a much more important part of the fountain.

Genuine rainbow sandstone

Colour, grain and natural banding unique to every piece.

Rainbow sandstone is known for its varied natural palette, which can include cream, gold, ochre, terracotta, pink, brown and soft grey.

These colours occur naturally within the stone, creating individual bands, swirls and mineral markings rather than a uniform manufactured finish.

Water deepens the colouring considerably, making the natural layers more visible as it travels across the bowl and down the column.

Every Rhyme will look different

Exact colouring, banding, markings, dimensions and stone character will vary between individual pieces. This natural variation is an intentional part of the feature rather than a manufacturing defect.

Concealed in-ground installation

Keep the water system hidden beneath the finished garden.

The supplied 66cm diameter heavy-duty pebble pool is installed below ground, allowing the Rhyme's sandstone column and bowl to remain the visual focus.

Prepare

Choose a firm, level location with access to a suitable outdoor electrical supply.

Excavate

Prepare a suitable opening for the supplied 66cm diameter heavy-duty pebble pool.

Position

Install the reservoir securely and level beneath the finished garden surface.

Install the pump

Position the supplied pump inside the reservoir and connect the pipework through the stone feature.

Prepare the support

Ensure the reservoir support area is secure, level and suitable for the natural stone feature.

Position the Rhyme

Carefully centre the column and bowl over the reservoir and connect the water supply.

Finish

Conceal the visible reservoir area with decorative pebbles while retaining suitable access for pump maintenance.

Fill & enjoy

Fill the reservoir and switch on the pump. Water bubbles into the bowl, cascades down the stone and continuously returns below.

No permanent water supply required The Rosara Rhyme uses a fully self-contained recirculating water system. Simply top up the reservoir periodically to replace water naturally lost through evaporation and splash.
