AQUA MODA ALLIA   /   ONE-OFF NATURAL STONE

Grey Copper Monolith Water Feature 60cm No. 151

A compact one-off grey and copper monolith with a slender, slab-like front profile and a dramatic natural pinnacle.

The photographs show the exact No. 151 stone you will receive. Its shape, geological markings, copper colouring and proportions are unique to this individual piece of natural stone.

Measuring approximately 60cm high × 14cm wide × 33cm deep, No. 151 looks remarkably slim from one direction yet substantially deeper from another. This changing profile gives the monolith a very different character depending on your viewing angle.

The stone is pre-drilled at its highest point. Water emerges from the pinnacle and moves across the complex upper surface before cascading down the grey and copper stone below.

The monolith shown is the exact monolith you receive.

No. 151 is individually photographed and identified. The angular pinnacle, unusual proportions, copper markings and grey natural stone shown in the images belong to this exact piece.

WHY NO. 151?

Compact in height, but unusually sculptural from every angle.

No. 151 combines a relatively modest 60cm height with an extremely slim 14cm front profile and much deeper 33cm body, creating dramatically different views as you move around it.

01   SLENDER PROFILE

Only 14cm wide

Viewed face-on, No. 151 has a remarkably narrow, blade-like appearance that suits more compact garden spaces.

02   COPPER + GREY

Natural geological contrast

Variegated copper colouring runs through classic grey stone, giving the monolith considerably more depth than a uniform slate.

03   NATURAL PINNACLE

Water begins at the highest point

The pre-drilled pinnacle creates a strong starting point for the water before it travels across the uneven stone below.

SEE YOUR STONE BEFORE YOU BUY

Want to see the different faces of No. 151?

Visit our Manchester showroom by appointment or arrange a complimentary virtual consultation. Because this stone changes considerably from one viewing angle to another, seeing its front, side and three-quarter profiles can be particularly useful before ordering.

NATURAL CHARACTER

One stone with dramatically different profiles.

No. 151 is a good example of why a one-off monolith should be considered in three dimensions rather than simply by its stated height.

FRONT PROFILE

Slim and vertical

At only around 14cm wide, one face presents as a narrow architectural slab rising towards its natural pinnacle.

SIDE PROFILE

Considerably deeper

The 33cm depth reveals much more natural stone mass and gives the feature greater presence when viewed from an angle.

COLOUR

Variegated grey and copper

Warm copper tones interrupt the grey stone and become richer once the surface is covered by moving water.

WATER FROM THE PINNACLE

The stone's complex top surface shapes the cascade.

No. 151 is pre-drilled at the pinnacle of the natural stone. Water rises internally before emerging at this highest point and travelling across the irregular upper surface. From there it follows the natural contours down the different faces of the monolith. As the stone becomes wet, grey areas darken and the copper colouring becomes deeper and more saturated, increasing the contrast across the feature.

Pinnacle outlet Water emerges from the pre-drilled highest point of No. 151.
Complex upper surface Natural contours redirect the water before it begins its downward cascade.
Multiple stone faces Different angles and surfaces create changing paths for the moving water.
Deeper wet colour Grey and copper tones become darker, richer and more saturated.

A STONE TO VIEW IN THREE DIMENSIONS

14cm wide from one angle. 33cm deep from another.

Orientation makes a significant difference.

No. 151 can appear very slender when viewed directly from its narrow face, yet considerably more substantial from the side. Rotating the stone before final installation will therefore change its visual character. Consider the principal view from the house, seating area or main garden path before choosing its final orientation.

UNDERSTANDING THE SCALE

A compact Allia with strong vertical character.

At approximately 60cm high, No. 151 is easier to incorporate into smaller spaces than the metre-plus Allia stones while retaining the individuality of a substantial natural monolith.
60cm Overall stone height / approximately 1ft 11.6in.
14cm Approximate stone width.
33cm Approximate stone depth.
66cm × 40cm Diameter × depth of supplied underground pebble pool.

POSITIONING NO. 151

Particularly effective where space is tighter but natural stone character still matters.

Its 60cm height and narrow principal face give No. 151 more flexibility than the larger Allia pieces while the 33cm depth prevents it from feeling insubstantial.

Smaller planted borders

The compact height allows the monolith to sit amongst lower planting without overwhelming the surrounding scheme.

Courtyard gardens

Its narrow profile can work particularly well where floor space is more limited but a natural stone focal point is desired.

Three-quarter viewing

Position the stone where both the narrow face and deeper side can be appreciated as you move around the garden.

CONCEALED IN-GROUND SYSTEM

A compact 66cm reservoir keeps the water system out of sight.

No. 151 is supplied with a 66cm diameter × 40cm deep pebble pool and galvanised steel grid for a concealed recirculating installation.
01 Choose the orientation Decide whether the 14cm face, deeper profile or a three-quarter view should be presented towards the main viewing position.
02 Prepare the reservoir area Excavate a suitable opening for the supplied 66cm diameter × 40cm deep underground pebble pool.
03 Install securely and level Position the reservoir on a firm, level and suitably prepared base before installing the remaining components.
04 Install pump & pipework Position the supplied pump within the reservoir and connect the required pipework to the pre-drilled monolith.
05 Fit the galvanised grid Position the supplied galvanised steel support grid securely across the underground reservoir.
06 Position No. 151 Carefully position the monolith and confirm its preferred orientation before completing the surrounding finish.
07 Finish the surface Conceal the grid with decorative pebbles while retaining suitable access to the pump for future maintenance.
08 Fill & enjoy Fill the reservoir and start the pump. Water rises to the pinnacle, cascades over the stone and returns below.

GREY COPPER STONE TRANSFORMED BY WATER

Water brings considerably more depth to the natural colour.

When dry

No. 151 displays softer grey stone with warm copper-coloured mineral variation across its angular natural surfaces.

When wet

Both grey and copper tones deepen and become more saturated, increasing the contrast and revealing more of the stone's geological character.
