Serio Sandaro Corten C & Sandstone Column 1.5m Water Feature

A coordinated two-piece water feature combining a 1.5m Corten Serio C-shaped wall with a 70cm rainbow sandstone Caldera column.

The Serio Sandaro brings together two of Aqua Moda's strongest material styles within one deliberately balanced composition. The tall Corten Serio creates the main architectural line, while the lower rainbow sandstone column adds natural colour, texture and a second point of moving water.

At 150cm high, the C-shaped wall provides the dominant vertical presence. The 70cm Caldera sandstone column sits below it in scale, creating a clear visual hierarchy rather than allowing the two elements to compete. This difference in height also creates greater depth when the features are positioned slightly apart or offset from one another.

The material combination is equally deliberate. Weathered Corten brings warm rust and brown tones, while rainbow sandstone introduces natural tonal variation and stone texture. Together they create a softer and more landscape-led alternative to the polished-steel Serio combinations.

Both features are mains powered and operate through a fully self-contained recirculating system. The supplied 60cm pebble-pool reservoir sits below the finished surface, allowing the Corten wall and sandstone column to remain the focus of the installation without the need for a permanent mains water supply.

THE SANDARO WATER EFFECT

Two very different surfaces brought together by moving water.

The tall Serio creates the principal vertical water movement, while the sandstone column adds a second, lower flow. Water visually connects the two elements by deepening the appearance of both the Corten and natural stone.

CORTEN STEEL   /   RAINBOW SANDSTONE

Two materials chosen to complement rather than match.

Sandaro deliberately avoids a uniform finish. The Corten wall provides a weathered architectural surface while the natural sandstone column introduces a softer pattern and texture. Their shared warm palette keeps the complete installation visually connected.

Corten weathering steel The Serio develops the warm rust and brown character associated with weathering steel, giving the tall architectural form a softer relationship with surrounding planting and natural materials.
Natural rainbow sandstone The Caldera column introduces genuine natural-stone colour and variation, so the stone element carries its own individual character rather than appearing manufactured or uniform.

POSITIONING THE COMPOSITION

Let the two heights overlap visually rather than simply lining them up.

The 1.5m Serio should normally act as the dominant backdrop or anchor, with the 70cm sandstone column positioned slightly forward or offset to one side. This helps create depth and makes the pair read as a designed composition rather than two separate water features placed alongside one another.

IN-GROUND INSTALLATION

Conceal the reservoir beneath the complete composition.

The supplied 60cm pebble-pool reservoir allows the working system to remain below the finished surface, keeping attention on the Corten Serio and sandstone Caldera.
01 Plan both positions Temporarily position the Serio and sandstone column to judge the spacing and main viewing angle.
02 Install the pebble pool Position the supplied underground reservoir securely beneath the intended feature area.
03 Connect the pump Install the suitable pump and required water connections for the recirculating system.
04 Position the 1.5m Serio Ensure the tall C-shaped wall is stable, vertical and correctly aligned.
05 Position the Caldera Use the lower sandstone column to create depth and balance alongside the taller Corten wall.
06 Finish & commission Add decorative pebbles, fill the reservoir and establish the water flow across both elements.
